Even with Trent Richardson's monster performance in last week's Iron Bowl, there is no clear frontrunner in the Heisman Trophy race.

Robert Griffin III would love to change that. He's amassed over 4,000 yards of offense and more than 40 total touchdowns this season while potentially making his way onto Heisman Trophy ballots.

It's been a fun 118 years, Aggies. Why an institution that prides itself in upholding values like tradition and loyalty is bolting for what they only seem to think is greener grass in the SEC is beyond me. Either way, Texas A&M's decision will effectively end one of college football's most storied rivalries and today marks the last time the Longhorns and Aggies will face each other as conference foes and may be their final meeting ever. Kyle Field, a place that gets pumped for any game Texas A&M hosts, may be saving the regular season's loudest day for last.

Case McCoy showcased his playmaking abilities against UCLA, completing 80 percent of his passes, throwing two touchdown passes and dodging many Bruins defenders. Then, he was replaced by freshman David Ash, who proved he could be a dynamic player against Texas Tech when he completed multiple deep throws and broke free for a 47-yard run on third down. Against Missouri, neither Ash or McCoy could get anything going.

Even before Sheldon Richardson made his bulletin board-worthy comments this week, Missouri was already complaining about Texas. Before the beginning of the season, the Tigers head coach Gary Pinkel whined about the Longhorn Network about a month before it launched. Pinkel claimed airing high school football games on the Longhorn Network would be unfair, saying, "there's just no common sense there... are you kidding me?... what are we doing here?"

Now, Pinkel's junior defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson, a junior college product from St. Louis, joined his coach in letting everyone know how he felt about the attention the state of Texas and its recruits, despite 35 of his teammates being from the Lone Star State.

Through seven games, Texas has shown dramatic improvements since last year and has already matched 2010's win total by posting a 5-2 record so far. Now, the Longhorns face a Texas Tech team that has done its best Jekyll and Hyde impersonation the last two weeks by ending Oklahoma's 39-game home winning streak one week and getting blown out by 34 at home against Iowa State the next week. Many Texas players have said they expect to see the Red Raiders team that shocked the nation in Norman two weeks ago but the Longhorns are double-digit favorites this weekend. Take a look at this week's matchups to watch and keys to the game:

To put it in a fictional freedom fighter's words, how will Texas fans "remember, remember the 5th of november"?

The Longhorn Network is struggling to get on the screens of Texas fans but the Longhorns themselves should not struggle this week facing a Kansas team that has been manhandled this year, especially in conference play. The Jayhawks are 0-4 against Big 12 opponents and have been outscored by an average of more than 30 points per game. Here are some of the matchups to watch in the Horns' contest this week.
